| We rolled out our new repurposed-pallet tiers at a recent high-profile event for The Ohio State University. |
We wanted to be innovative with reusable and repurposed materials. While trying to limit buying newly-manufactured items, we designed tiers that can be used on buffets and in centerpieces from shipping pallets. Brian Ford from Ford Events brought our vision to life.
Soft, vintage-look overlays, including eyelet and embroidered linen, complement the weathered wood. All of this is highlighted by fresh greens which will be cut from our garden (as soon as the weather warms a bit) and hardy, adorable succulents.
We try to use as much of a product as possible. For example, we recently used some cherry blossom branches for a photoshoot and then cut them for centerpieces for our open house later in the day. They decorated the office until added to the compost pile. The main beautiful branches have been kept and are drying to be used later.
Another fun idea to be incorporated into our seasonal decor is the use of chalkboards, reusable chalkboard paper and chalk ink markers. Chalkboard paper can be washed and used over and over. The chalkboard-look is perfect for a fun, unique event!
Keep an eye out for new spring look at your upcoming event!
