Mark Your Calendars! Jorgensen Farms FIRST SUNDAY FARM MARKET Is May 1st

The first Sunday of every month Jorgensen Farms is open to the public for their FIRST SUNDAY FARM EVENTS which include a farm market, family activities and organic gardening programs for adults and children.

This is a fantastic opportunity to visit a working organic farm that is close to home. Jorgensen Farms is located near the Westerville/New Albany border.

Chef John Skaggs will be "Starting from the Ground Up!" as he demonstrates how to make small bites with ground lamb and ground turkey - ingredients from the farm! There is talk of a rhubarb chutney and preparing asparagus with cumin seed.

A "Mothers & Babies Tour" starts at 1pm. This is a family-friendly tour that shows how the newest, littlest members become a part of the farm family. There is a small fee for this tour and space is limited. Get your tickets here.

Every Sunday will feature an Adult Organic Gardening Program. This Sunday will be "Healthy Soil From the Ground Up - Understanding Soil Types and Fertility." This class on soil basics in taught by Jorgensen Farms owner, Val Jorgensen. At the same time, Roger Genter will be teaching the same class for children - an intereactive, "hands on" understanding of clay, silt and sand. Space is limited for both classes - please register here.

The market will be open and will have seasonal products available. This Sunday will feature asparagus, eggs, herbs & herbal products, honey, lamb, plant seedlings, and poultry.

See you this Sunday at the farm!
