Feeding 3000 at the Little Brown Jug!

Wow! What an experience! The 67th Little Brown Jug at the Delaware County Fair was held yesterday and today. This is Two Caterers' first year as the Official Catering Partner, but Two Caterers' Event Coordinator Rebecca Pettis' ninth year being involved.

We weren't sure what to expect of this event. We knew that the crowds would be large, and that they would be hungry, but we didn't have any previous experience catering at a horse race - especially a prestigious TRIPLE CROWN!

We took a tour of the event and tried to capture some of the off-the-beaten-path magic. Enjoy!
The Hospitality Pavilion on Hospitality Hill first thing Wednesday morning. Crowds are starting to roll in.
The view from "the Hill" is tremendous! The horses get a great look at the buffet offerings as they run by.
The first racers of the day warm up the horses.
The Jug horses are housed in fancy stables.
All in!
We met "Jackie" the Jack Russell in the stables. She isn't scared of the horses at all!
Lunch lines on Wednesday were moving quickly.
Delicious barbecue chicken about to be served.
Can't get enough of our Grown Up Mac & Cheese!
It's that time of year again! We can't believe it!

Such beautiful sunshine!
Losing betting slips. :(
We fed this horse a peppermint!
