You know you want alcohol at your party, but how much?  These guidelines will help you estimate how much alcohol is needed at your event, and remember that each individual group can differ in consumption amounts and styles. Our sales staff is always available to double check your estimates or answer any questions you might have.

Are your guests light or heavy drinkers? Do they prefer wine to beer? Is the group mostly men or women?
Men tend to drink more beer than wine.

Standard rule of thumb for parties where drinking is central to the event:
100 guests for 3 hours will drink roughly 4 drinks each
15 guests will drink soda/water only = 60 servings
25 guests will drink beer = 100 servings/4 cases
40 guests will drink liquor = 160 drinks
20 guests will drink wine = 84 glasses/21 bottles

Business events tend to have less drinking:
100 guests for 3 hours will drink roughly 2.5 drinks each
15 guests will drink soda/water = 38 servings
25 guests will drink beer = 63 servings/2.75 cases
40 guests will drink liquor = 100 drinks
20 guests will drink wine = 50 glasses/12 bottles

Only serving wine and beer? Split 50/50 between wine and beer and assume 2 drinks per person on business-oriented or light drinking events, and 3-4 drinks per person for heavy drinking groups.
There are 24 beers in a case
There are 4-5 glasses of wine per bottle/12 bottles per case

Liquor suggestion for a group of 75:
2 bottles of vodka
1 bottle of whisky
1 bottle of rum
1 bottle of gin
1 bottle of scotch
